Map background:
I had originally planned to release this for the 2018 event.
A plan blindingly foolish in its optimism. I barely finished it for this one.
I did have a story planned out, with a clear narrative arc, but it was lost in the crunch.
The timeframe is the 1950s, a devout Catholic archiologist tracking Sumerian ruins.
The place he finds corrupts him, and fashions him into a tool of murder.
A leal servant of Shub-Niggurath, who uses this place to find her zealots.
Only traces of this remain in the map.
Aethethiscally, I'm pleased with how the map came out.
It isn't 100% optimized for space, but comes rather close.
